
Chilean flamingos, red-breasted geese and swan geese wade in the water of
the Waterfowl Lagoon. The birds’ bright colors and loud calls draw visitors
from throughout the zoo.
Mudflats in the exhibit give flamingos the chance
to build “mud towers” for nesting, and the indoor warmth of the Flamingo
Habitat provides shelter during the cold of winter.
