Lincoln Park Zoo initiates, facilitates and encourages scientific
research that will increase basic zoological knowledge, lead to
advances in health, husbandry and management in captivity, and
aid conservation of threatened species and habitats in the United States
and abroad. Increasing concern for endangered species gives highest priority to work that increases understanding
of the behavior, nutrition, environmental physiology and small population
biology of endangered species in the collection.
Outside researchers interested in conducting research on Lincoln
Park Zoo grounds or using biomaterial samples collected
from zoo animals should contact conservation@lpzoo.org.
