Enjoy an award-winning look at Lincoln Park Zoo’s chimpanzees and gorillas.

Exploring Ape Behavior offers a hands-on look at the behavioral research conducted at the Lester E. Fisher Center for the Study and Conservation of Apes. Participants can embark on their own study, using an iPod Touch to record the activities of one of the zoo’s gorillas or chimpanzees.

Groups of 5–12 participants can attend Exploring Ape Behavior for $10 per person while groups of 13–25 receive the discounted rate of $125.

Schedule your session from Tuesday–Thursday, 11:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m. Alternative times may also be available upon request.

Want to Learn More About Ape Behavior?
Register for Pathway to Primatology. This program provides an opportunity to work alongside ape researchers and keepers as they study chimpanzee and gorilla behavior at Regenstein Center for African Apes.

Possible projects include observing a cognition experiment, viewing restricted areas of the ape house and stepping into a scientist’s shoes by recording behavioral data with an iPod touch.

This exciting companion to our award-winning Exploring Ape Behavior program will be offered four times a year, so if you can’t make it this time, look for more sessions in the future!
