What can you learn from the gardens at Lincoln Park Zoo? Our horticulturists want to inspire you to build up your gardens at home by showing off all the work they’re doing on zoo grounds. Through our Zoo Gardens series, we will share tips and tricks for choosing plants that work well in our Midwestern climate, low maintenance and sustainable options and strategies for getting a lot of bang for your garden bucks.

Each session will include a short presentation along with a walkabout on zoo grounds and will take place rain-or-shine.

  • June 15—Zoo Gardens: Perennials
  • July 27—Zoo Gardens: Natives
  • August 24—Zoo Gardens: Trees and Shrubs
  • September 21—Zoo Gardens: Strategies for Small Space Gardening
