Zoo-ologie
Join more than 1,000 guests for the Auxiliary Board of Lincoln Park Zoo’s signature fundraiser, Zoo-ologie 2013: Sumus Animalia. Zoo grounds will be transformed into a modern-day homage to ancient Rome for this upscale, upbeat evening of food, libations and dancing that helps support the zoo and keep it free to the public 365 days a year.

Only one yoga program lets you compare your cow, cat, tortoise and lion poses to the real deals when you’re done. Take in views of the urban skyline and scenic Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo during outdoor yoga classes for adults.

United Run for the Zoo
This USATF-certified, chip-timed race is a highlight of the Chicago running calendar. The 5K, 10K and 5K Fun Walk courses wind through and around zoo grounds. New this year: a Safari Stampede mini obstacle course for kids ages 8 and under.

Classical music ensemble Quintet Attacca presents a free public performance of Sergei Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf” at 10:30 a.m. and noon at the Farm-in-the-Zoo. The program—part of Rush Hour Concerts’ citywide Make Music Chicago festival—also includes performances by students from Chicago-area Suzuki music schools.

Join us for the brilliance of this annual fun, free, family-oriented holiday celebration, featuring luminous displays and holiday-season activities throughout zoo grounds. We’ll flip the on switch November 29. Afterward, ZooLights will shine Friday–Sunday until December 13, at which point the lights be on nightly (except December 24 and 25) until January 5.
