Courses
All 5K and 10K courses are scheduled to start on Stockton Drive between Webster and Dickens just south of the zoo’s West Gate. The USATF-certified run will loop around Lincoln Park’s south park path, travel through the zoo, access residential streets and exit along lakeshore paths, finishing on the east side of the zoo. The 5K Fun Walk will also travel through the zoo and remain on Lincoln Park paths to the finish, also on the east side of the zoo. Both courses offer wild scenic views of the city and the zoo!
The Safari Stampede mini obstacle course will be held on the South Lawn, near Park Place Café inside Lincoln Park Zoo gates.
No dogs allowed on course. Strollers are welcome, but runners must start at the back of the heat.

Desired T-shirt size is not guaranteed.
Safari Stampede T-shirts are unisex and available in youth small and youth large sizes.
Chip Timing
The Chronotrack Disposable Chip comes attached to a plastic strip that is already adhered to your bib number. No need to wait until race day to pick up your chip—it’s already on your bib when you go to a pre-registration/packet pickup event!
The chip tag should be peeled from the bib on race day and attached to your shoelaces—adhesive tabs and your shoelaces keep the tag in place. You must cross the special mats at the start and finish lines in order for your time to be recorded. After crossing the finish line, the tag is yours to discard or to keep as a souvenir of your experience at United Run for the Zoo.
Please note that there is no fundraising component to the event this year.
