Mars Madness hardy hibiscus is adorned with magenta-red flowers that bloom in midsummer to fall and can reach eight inches in width. Dark, olive-green, maple-like leaves with hints of purple surround the flowers. This hybrid cultivar, derived from native parent species, prefers medium to wet soil in full sun to partial shade. This hibiscus, useful in wet areas, can be grown as an accent plant or in perennial borders.
